Hi--I was looking for examples of Doug's Tune; I'm learning this song now. I started banjo lessons a couple of months ago and I love it! Thanks for posting the video.

Heya Mark,

I am trying to get a hold of you regarding some questions I have. I am the Photo/Illustration Editor for The Voice Magazine. It is a R&B magazine that we are working on coming out with in late October. I saw the "Wrecked" online zine and was blown away. I have emailed several other people regarding their online magazines in the last couple days but I really wanted to chat with you if possible about the in's/out's plus's/negatives about this type of magazine. Could you email me at my email address above? I promise to not take too much of your time but could really use your help.

@MoneyEnergy: I don't believe I've used caricatures, but that would be fun (however, I'm not the artist I should be for that). However, I'll let you know where I stand (although i thought I made that clear in the post)...

I do not agree at all with universal health care. Health care should not be provided by the government. Besides the fact that it would turn in to a bloated mass of red tape, it doesn't help and often hurts the citizens it is supposed to help (want proof? Ask canada or the UK).

I do not agree with eliminating the "Capital Gains Tax". We need more than that. We need to eliminate the INCOME TAX in favor of the fair tax. Eliminating the CG tax will do little for anyone.

I do not believe that it is the governments job to help the automakers (which last I checked were PRIVATE companies) retool. In fact, the government should do the opposite and stay out of private business all together unless the safety of the people demand it. Also, its not the government's job to make cars more affordable.

He's pledged $150 BILLION dollars over 10 years to find renewable energy sources. I want to know a. where's that money coming from while he's "cutting taxes" and b. why couldn't the private sector take that responsibility? Shell, BP, Chevron, and Exxon Mobile are all working in that area too. Don't you think any one of them would KILL to be the company to develop that?

Also, if he really wants to help education along, they would back off of most of the government programs for education and put all of that responsibility back to the state and local governments. It ISN'T THE GOVERNMENT's responsibility to educate me. That is the responsibility of my parents. The only one who should be responsible for my child's education is me.

The problem isn't that these things lack in America, but that Government has become this bloated mass that thinks it can do better than the Private Sector. Private schools have BETTER test scores than public ones because of the way they are run (look at the Ron Clark Academy as an example).

Everything Barak Obama wants to do will take away the drive from the private sector.

The main problem I have with Obama, in fact most of the Democratic Party is that they believe everything is a "right" when it most certainly isn't. I've worked hard to provide for my family and I'll be damned if I stand by while what I have worked for is taken away and given to someone who hasn't done their share of the work or even made an attempt to get ahead. If thats not clear enough for you, I don't know what is.

If people can't see the paradigms in which their thinking operates on its own terms, there can never be any progress of any sort. (You do want progress, right? Have you tried to define what that would look like?)

Obama displays and encourages a self-analysis and critical thought that seems to be lacking in McCain's campaign. Forget the labels of D and R, which become filters through which you interpret everything. Stick with what the current facts are, otherwise one is just working with blinders on.

Can you identify and argue for precisely what it is you disagree with without resorting to political caricatures and heuristics?
